Hannah R. Bingham, M.M.E., Artistic Director
I believe in the power of music to change lives.
I grew up in a small town nestled in the mountains of beautiful northern New Hampshire. My simple life was surrounded by music, but I was not exposed to choral singing until the age of 15. In my first year of singing in choir, I realized I had found something that made me feel more alive than I had ever felt. Once awakened to this discovery, I knew that I had found my life’s purpose, and I never turned back.
My journey led me through degrees in choral music education at Cedarville University and VanderCook College of Music and through wonderful experiences teaching children’s and adult church choirs in Illinois, children’s choirs with Boston City Singers and Anima–Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus, and K-12 Vocal Music in private and public school settings in Kentucky, Illinois, and most recently in Saline, Michigan.
My mission in life is to inspire others to live up to their full potential, and I am lucky enough to be able to carry this out through my love for singing. Together with the youth of Viva Voce, we will experience the joy of friendship and the pleasure of singing. We will grow in artistry and expression, discipline and skill, confidence and leadership, teamwork and service.
Music has changed my life, and I believe in its power to transform the lives of our youth.
